Royal Botanic Garden Sydney - The Pioneer Garden
YOUR EXPERIENCE
Our family theatre events are picnic-style performances. Please note that chairs will not be provided, so plan accordingly.
Guests are welcome to bring anything that will make their experience more comfortable, including:
- Picnic rugs or blankets
- Cushions
- Camping or low-rise chairs
Please be aware that high-rise chairs may be positioned further back to avoid obstructing the view of other patrons, particularly children.
Picnics are encouraged, so feel free to bring along food and beverages to enjoy during the show.
We strongly recommend packing for all weather conditions, such as raincoats for wet weather and hats and sunscreen for warmer days.

GETTING THERE
Public Transport
Train
The nearest station is Martin Place.
St James and Circular Quay stations are also nearby.
Bus
- Routes to Martin Place or Circular Quay include route 441.
- Route 200 stops on Macquarie Street near the Palace Garden Gate during weekday morning and evening peak hours.
Ferry
Take a ferry to Circular Quay, then walk south along Macquarie Street
and enter the Gardens via the Conservatorium Gate.
Driving & Parking
Parking options include:
- Secure Car Park, 131 Macquarie St, Sydney NSW 2000
- Domain Car Park (additional undercover parking)

The performance will take place at The Pioneer Garden, Royal Botanic Garden Sydney.
