Heulen Cynfal

Heulen is a Welsh soprano based in Melbourne, known for her clear, expressive voice and strong stage presence. She holds both a Bachelor’s and Master’s degree in Voice from the Royal Academy of Music in London and is building her career in the Australian opera community.
Heulen has portrayed leading roles with Opera Cymru and British Youth Opera and has performed as a soloist in concert venues across the UK, US, Canada, and Melbourne. Recent engagements include solo performances with the Melbourne Welsh Male Choir at St Paul’s Cathedral and MLC Kew, and a soloist role in The Last Supper with The Melbourne Singers at St Oswald Anglican Church. A multiple national winner at Eisteddfodau in Wales, Heulen was awarded the prestigious David Ellis Blue Riband at the 2023 National Eisteddfod of Wales and has been a finalist in the Bryn Terfel and W. Towyn Roberts Scholarships. Heulen recently made her Melbourne Opera debut in the role of Despina in Così fan tutte.
