Shakespeare’s notorious villains and heroes are the stuff an actor’s dreams are made of. The Power & Motivation workshops will investigate the intent and influence of these characters’ decisions while exploring Shakespeare’s themes and language through drama exercises and games.
Participants will explore selected speeches and choose one to rehearse and perform. With professional actors guiding the process, young actors will develop techniques for learning lines, character development, physical and vocal techniques, and experimenting with form, style, and adaptation.
This workshop experience will be lively, supportive, and engaging for all participants and is tailored to foster an ensemble approach to performance-making, just like the real world of theatre!
There's plenty of fun to be had this autumn school holidays!
