Getting here and getting around

Public Transport


The nearest station is Martin Place (TD – South Coast Line). St James and Circular Quay (T2 – Airport, Inner West and South Line and T3 – Bankstown Line) are also near by!


You can reach the Royal Botanic Garden Sydney by Ferry ride to Circular Quay and enter the gardens at either the Opera House or the Queen Elizabeth II Gate.


You can take the bus to Martin Place or Circular Quay on route 441. Route 200 stops in Macquarie during peak hours on weekday mornings and evenings.

Parking is available on Macquaries Road, Hospital Road and Macquarie Street. Undercover parking is also available at the Domain Car Park. Mobility parking is available near the Wolloomooloo Gate and outside the Art Gallery of NSW.

Box Office

Tickets to all our productions can be purchased online via our ticketing system or Ticketmaster. You can also call our box office directly on 02 9011 7704 (9am – 5pm Monday to Saturday when shows are on, or 9am – 5pm Monday to Friday during off-peak). Our box office is open on site one-hour before every performance. Tickets can be purchased 1.5 hours before Shakespearean productions and 1 hour before our family shows.

The Sydney ‘Wind In The Willows’ Box Office is on the Harbour side of the Main Pond. The easiest entrance is through Circular Quay. However you can go through any gate and follow it towards the Main Pond.

Your Experience

At our Sydney events it is not possible to rent outdoor seating. You may still bring along your own chairs, please plan accordingly!

Please be aware that the location of performances in the gardens varies depending on the production. Make sure you follow the signs and if you’re confused reach out to the ASC team, we’re happy to help guide you!
