Spring Holiday Program

Explore the magical worlds Shakespeare creates across a variety of plays and the mayhem that ensues!

Junior, Intermediate & Senior

About the Program

Join us these school holidays for enchanted sessions of play and discovery through a selection of Shakespeare’s plays - as we combine zoom time and activity time. Coming together for online sessions AND escaping the screen to enjoy the activity packs and props posted to your door.

Spotlighting character analysis, unlocking Shakespeare’s language and an emphasis on play and games to create a fun and supportive environment that nurtures expressive skills and builds the stepping stones to self confidence. The complexity and intensity of the content is tailored to suit a variety of ages and performance experience.

Day 1: A Midsummer Night's Dream (Across 3 x 1 Hour Sessions)

Day 2: Macbeth (Across 3 x 1 Hour Sessions)

Day 3: The Tempest (Across 3 x 1 Hour Sessions)

Choose from 3 age groups:

JUNIOR - (7-11 years) Monday 20th – Wednesday 22nd September

INTERMEDIATE - (12-15 years) Monday 27th– Wednesday 29th September

Jump in for a single day or all three to rehearse and perform devised and scripted scenes celebrating the magic and mayhem of the weird witches from Macbeth, the fantastical fairies from A Midsummer Night’s Dream and the spirited sprites from The Tempest. Each day combines 3 x 1 hour sessions on Zoom plus activities and tasks to complete at home. Highlights from each day will be recorded and shared as a screening for family and friends to enjoy at the end of the week.

SENIOR - (16-19 years) Thursday 30th September – Saturday 2nd October

Every aspiring actor knows a powerful Shakespeare speech is a must for their toolkit. Whether it be for drama school auditions, high school drama or preparing for professional castings, our industry expertise provide invaluable insights. Either bring your own monologue or select from our provided speeches. Participants will explore the playful and robust approaches we apply when creating vivid and connected characters, unshackling Shakespeare’s language and bringing a sense of the whole play into a speech. At the end of the three days, family and friends are invited to join us online for a final sharing of the work.
